Sunday, Sept 29, was my first venture with my '53 Buick into the world of the big car show. The location was the Orange County Fairgrounds, not too far from our home in Milford, Ct. Outstanding. A beautiful day and a field filled with close to 1000 amazing automobiles ranging from a current Lamborghini to a 1905 Stoddard Dayton. But the most interesting part of the day was the conversation I had with a young gentleman sitting by a beautiful 1936 Ford. Frank Saduto, 90, is a veteran of WWII having fought in the Battle of the Bulge "and all the way to Germany". He told me he bought his car about 40 years ago from a junkyard for $50 ("+ tax!"). Today you would be hard-pressed to believe it was anything other than fresh off the showroom floor. Two classics side-by-side. Keep Going!
